Demo

No database publishing solution would be complete without some way to manage content intelligently. HyperContent is GLUON's answer to this need. We have built it with publishing in mind and it integrates seamlessly into our HyperPublishing system. All images are processed automatically to produce a thumbnail, and FPO and the original is stored with a unique ID. All of it is managed via our intuitive Flex-based application which has two basic levels of usage: Admin and User.

Characteristics of HyperContent:

• Allows users to upload and categorize images so you can offer a professional image library to end users
• Images divided into "public" and "private" so if users upload images, only they can see them
• Fully customizable metadata fields and categories for images
• Drag and drop images into publications
• Admin can control who sees what and can manage and update image files
• Comes with HyperPreview rasterizer to create sharp thumbnails and 72 dpi FPO files
• Handles as many database instances as desired so different customers are isolated
• Account-based so each user has their own account automatically

HyperContent has features found in much more expensive systems and some not found anywhere else.

The HyperContent includes the following features:

• Flex Application — Anybody with Flash installed in their browser (most users) will see the exact same professional, desktop-like interface.
• Robust Metadata Support — Add metadata fields as needed such as SKUs, author, etc. Also comes with a number of standard fields to describe your images and to help users find them.
• Unlimited Categories and Subcategories — Add as many categories and subcategories as needed to help you organize even the largest image libraries.
• HyperPreview Rasterizer — No matter what kind of image you upload, including most vector types, and HyperPreview will create a web-viewable thumbnail and an FPO for you. Supports unlimited channels so you can set up as many different repositories as needed. This has been stress-tested to process millions of images without failure.
• Soft Cropping (AOI) — Includes a beautiful interface for selecting the important part of images so if it is used in different shaped boxes, the featured Area of Interest (AOI) will be maximized.
• Thumbnail Controls — Even if you upload a white on white logo, you can create a thumbnail which shows the white against a color of your chosing without changing the original.
• Seamless Integration with HyperPublishing — Whether using a storefront or stand-alone LiveEdit applications, you will be tied in with drag and drop images for ultimate convenience.
• Advanced Features — You can create complex images that will populate various text fields simply by importing an image.
• Account Based — All images are filed under a given account ID so only images that belong to the account holder can be seen. Admin account can make "global" images available to all users.
• Mass Upload Support — Quickly import thousands of images using a simple csv file
• Open standard MySQL — We use a very common database technology which is proven in the marketplace but it could easily be substituted for another.
