| GLUON XTensions don't show up in QuarkXPress 6 or 7 |
|
Be sure the GLUONs are in the "XTension" folder in the copy of Quark that you are using. If you have more than one copy of Quark on your machine than you might have put the XTensions in the wrong folder. If you used the installer program (Quark 6 usually) then it may create an empty QuarkXPress 6.0 folder in your Applications folder if it doesn't exist already and inside that it will create an XTension folder where it will place the XTension. If this happens, simply move this XTension to your real XTension folder wherever that may be.
Don't put a folder inside the XTensions folder, Quark will not see XTensions inside folders like Photoshop does. Place only freestanding XTensions in this folder. They should have an icon thay looks like an X. |

Wait 1 minute and relaunch Quark. You may have a problem solving revelation during the wait. |

| I get an error message about an ID conflict. or duplicate XTensions |
|
This usually means that there are duplicates of an XTension in either your XTension folder or XTension Disabled folder. This can happen after using updaters as they sometimes leave the old one there and create the new one. Remove the duplicate(s) from both folders. |

| "GLUON" doesn't appear in the menu bar or items are missing from the GLUON menu. |
|
Not all GLUONs create a GLUON Menu. Only the ones which are used on a day-in, day-out basis and require a dialog interface. Of course make sure the correct version XTension is in your XTension folder at launch time. |
